MaterialGuide METAL

METAL filament is an easy to print and polish filament. It is PLA-based and filled with 70% metal powder. In comparison to standard PLA filament, it is 2.2 times heavier. Due to the high percentage of metal filler it has a metal touch effect, thermo-conductivity and nearly no shrinkage. Excellent printability on both, direct drive and Bowden style 3D-printers, is given. Works with nozzles ≥0.4mm, but due to the abrasive nature of metal, a hardened steel nozzle is recommended. There are filaments on the market which just look like metal, but they are just colored. They can be differenced by weight and feel.
METAL filament can be printed without heated bed and PrintaFix as adhesion agent, with a nozzle temperature from 190-220°C and retraction enabled.
