PC (Polycarbonate) is characterized by a high toughness, dimensional stability and optical clarity. It is also very popular because of the high heat resistance up to 140°C and excellent electrical resistance. Polycarbonate can absorb moisture from the air, which means that it is hygroscopic. This will affect to the printing quality and material performance. It has to be stored in a dry container, which is air-tight. For a good layer adhesion, a high temperature is needed.
PC is printable at temperatures from 280-290°C with an enclosure and a heated printbed with at least 100°C. This high-performance filament is not very easy to print and is for all who search to extend their filament options. For a better layer adhesion cooling must be turned off.
